Growing up in The Gambia I was exposed to the limited access to healthcare by most citizens. This shaped my desire to pursue medicine as a career. Addressing the healthcare deficiencies will require improvement in healthcare availability and access.
Socially Responsible Medicine – Globally.
As a Family Physician for the past 20 years, I have a broad range of significant experiences serving a wide variety of patients including extensive work involving service to special populations. Further, I have a unique medical skill set in tele-health and delivering needed services at a distance using technology.
During my career, I’ve worked with multiple tele-health organizations in both patient care and systems development. I am experienced in healthcare delivery to special groups ranging from the indigent to the incarcerated to the military, as well as in medical administrative roles.
Looking to the future, my background with unique populations and innovative interventional methods, lends itself to expanding medical access and availability to underserved populations in the developing world.
My strength is in evaluating population health needs and developing varied ranges of methods to provide the care required by those populations.
I have a family history of taking medicine from one on one patient care to broader programs that address population health, and my objective is to follow in those footsteps.
I want to meet with organizations who are presently seeking to expand healthcare services in the developing world. This could be through ongoing on-site care or by coordinating medical missions. If Global Healthcare to underserved populations is your passion or your mission, let’s talk. My email and phone (voice or text) are listed at the left or CLICK HERE to use my Contact form.
